Employee of the Month (August)

We are very proud to announce that our brilliant Manager, Cathy, has won Employee of the Month!

The reasons are:

  • Always working so hard
  • Always helping everyone and always trying her best
  • Always smiling and happy
  • Will always listen
  • Great with the children

Well done Cathy!

Preschool Room (Jungle)

This month in Preschool we have been learning about farms and animals. The children have been involved in lots of different activities such as matching farm animals to their young, creating pictures of animals and making up stories with the small world animals. Children have also been learning about how to stay healthy and they have enjoyed preparing soups and fruit kebabs.

Children have shown interest in fairies and magic. They then recognised a small fairy door which appeared in our room! The ‘fairy’ has been writing letters to the children to complete lots of different tasks and magical hunts around nursery! Children have also been involved in science experiments using different liquids to predict and test what happens.

We have had a school leavers party and Graduation. We will see lots of our school leavers in our Out of School Club.

Toddler Room (Fantasia)

This month our toddlers have been involved in lots of messy play. We have been doing lots of painting with different objects such as forks, pom poms and cotton buds. Children are very interested in babies and the home corner. We have been involved in lots of role play – pretending to take the babies to the park and the shops! Children have also been interested in the story, ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.’ Children have been acting out the story with lots of props and different materials and went on a hunt to find a very large teddy bear! Children have also been playing lots of ball games, practising our kicking and catching skills.

Baby Room (Bambi)

This month our babies have been involved in lots of sensory play. We have explored cornflour and paint and sensory baking using coloured porridge oats, cornflakes, rice crispies, and pasta with lots of pots and pans. We have been practising our balancing on the beams and stepping stones and have being jumping off them! We made an ‘aeroplane’ using chairs and flown to the shops, beach and park! The children enjoyed flying the plane and taking the dolls with them on our adventures.

Please speak to Cathy or Amber with any questions or queries

"The Kangaroo Club have provided excellent care for my three children over the last six years. The staff are kind, caring and well liked by my children, and I have always found them to be polite and friendly to parents. Very acommodating with specific or changing needs such as dietary requirements, helping with potty training nap times, out of school care ect. Children do lots of fun activities and group time that they couldn't do at home and for all these reasons I feel confident leaving them in the Kangaroo Clubs care when I go to work."

- Jane Heuston

"Our son is happy, comfortable and flourishing at the Kangaroo club. We couldn't ask for a better nursery for our little boy: staff provide exceptional, personalised care and are always on hand to discuss his progress and needs. He runs in every morning and doesn't want to leave in the evening!"

- Lisa and Chris Capstick

"Having two children who attend three times a week I can honestly say that the staff all go above and beyond to make the rooms, warm, welcome and inviting and each day fun and educational. Staff always get involved with activities and games which is just one of the many reasons my kids love and look forward to their time at The Kangaroo Club."

- Selina Cope

"My Daughter is leaving The Kangaroo club to begin school and I would like to thank all the kangaroo club staff for everything they have done for her over the last two years, she has come on so much, she is a much more confident and independant girl now. Thanks for all your help."

- Emma Brown

"My Daughter loves nursery and gets very excited in the car park when we arrive. The pace of her development over the past few months has been amazing. She loves doing role play, singing , dancing and most of all playing outside. The more messy the play the more fun she seems to have. Thanks for your hard work."
